New CEO to lead PKW
Local experience could be a bonus for the new chief executive of giant Taranaki land incorporation Parininihi Ki Waitotara .
He’s Warwick Tauwhare-George who has Ngai Tahu and Waikato Tainui whakapapa, but was brought up in Hawera.
He currently runs heating and air conditioning company Engie NZ as well as being an associate director for Ngai Tahu Farming.
PKW chair Hinerangi Raumati says he stood out in a quality field, and brings an impressive range of skills and experience nationally and internationally to the role.
Mr Tauwhare-George said he was impressed by the performance of PKW in recent years and he was drawn by the opportunity to play a part in one of the most significant Maori operations in Aotearoa.
Parininihi Ki Waitotara is the largest milk supplier to Fonterra in Taranaki and owns 20,000 hectares of some of the most productive dairy land in the world. It has a range of business interests across dairy farming, crayfish, forestry and commercial property.
