Lockdown means whanau time
nib New Zealand says lockdown gave Māori a greater sense of connection to their whānau.
The health insurer's State of the Nation Parenting Survey found 61 percent of Māori respondents felt an increased sense of happiness compared with just half of non-Māori parents, 54 percent reported a reduction in stress, 15 points higher than non-Māori, and 63 percent reported improved communication with their children compared with just 50 percent of non-Māori.
