PM Peters from brilliant to stupid
The head of Labour’s Māori caucus, Willie Jackson, says Winston Peters’ first question time as Acting Prime Minister showed a master politician at work.
The New Zealand First leader brings knowledge, experience, humour and a caucus support crew ready to laugh at his jokes – even if he isn’t as sharp as in previous terms.
“He went from some exceptional answers to ‘what the hell is that about Winston?’ It’s this incredible mix of brilliance and madness and stupidity, that’s what you’re seeing from Winston now where he goes from the experience shows through in some answers no doubt but then he does down and tells Megan (Woods) to shut up – ‘shut up girl, Willie knows what’s best on the marae,” Mr Jackson says.
