Green vote to beat poverty
Greens’ co-leader Marama Davidson says guaranteed income support is a bottom line for the participation the next government.
The Greens’ policies include a minimum weekly income of $385, paid for through a wealth tax, a trust tax, and a higher top tax rate.
Ms Davidson says 3.7 million New Zealanders earning under $125,000 a year will pay less tax.
She says it’s time to get serious about beating poverty.
“If people want to end poverty, which we can absolutely do, we can actually lift every single family out of poverty with our policy and if people want that they should vote for us so we make sure we have the powerr and set the directon over any future Government,” Ms Davidson says.
Stronger climate action is also non-negotiable.
