Farm emissions plan too little for climate warriors

A leading climate activist says the Government’s so-called “pragmatic” proposal to reduce agricultural emissions by pricing emissions at the farm level will fail.
Parihaka resident Urs Signer says it’s too little, too late.
“We all know what’s at stake is our climate and at stake is really a future for our tamariki mokopuna and and that might sound drastic but the science is in, the science is clear we have very little time left to turn this waka around,” he says.
Mr Signer says the proposal is too weak to stem rural industrialisation, so the problem is going to get worse.
