Interim head found for Māori Health Coalition

Rachel Brown from Te Atiawa, Ngāti Mutunga ki Wharekauri, Kāi Tahu, Tuahiwi and Kāti Māmoe has been appointed interim chief executive of the National Hauora Coalition.
She replaces its long-serving CEO, Simon Royal.
Dr Brown has been the organisation’s service delivery manager and has previously worked for the Ministry of Health, Oranga Tamariki, universities and district health boards, iwi and the community.
She holds a PhD in health science and a Masters in health promotion – Māori health.
She says Mr Royal left a great blueprint and solid foundation.
