Ukraine struggle for whenua resonates with Māori

Download AudioGreens co-leader Marama Davidson believes Māori will rally behind the people of Ukraine as they face up to the Russian invasion.
She says Māori understand what it is to be forced to defend whenua.
“I’m not surprised to see Māori understand the warmongering and violent behaviour of decision-makers who toy and exploit people’s lives on the ground, their own included, Putin’s authoritarian regime,” she says.
Ms Davidson believes the Government could do more to support non-violent resolution of the conflict.
