The petition organised by Save the Children objects to a plan to axe the role of the Children’s Commissioner.
“The vibe was intimidatory and it was overriding a very important kaupapa about protecting our children as a nation. In all honesty, I was infuriated by the interruption,” she says.
The parliamentary protest is entering its 10th day.
