Manukau Urban Māori Authority has mandated all staff and volunteers be vaccinated for COVID-19.
Chair Bernie O’Donnell says his board considers vaccination to be critical to supporting whānau wellbeing and whakapapa as the organisation works to contain the spread of the Delta variant among the Māori community.
The mandate applies to all staff, contractors, consultants, and volunteers who work at Ngā Whare Waatea marae and other MUMA sites.
Staff must receive their first vaccination by the end of October and be fully vaccinated by November 30.
