Talent competition off as lockdown drags on

Because Auckland is likely to be under Alert Level 3 or 4 lockdown for a few more weeks, Auckland Council has cancelled a number of events.

They include the final of the Stand Up Stand Out youth music and dance competition at the Auckland Town Hall on September 25, next month’s Auckland Heritage Festival and Ambury Farm Day on October 31.

Parks, Arts, Community and Events committee chair Alf Filipaina says the council is putting the health and wellbeing of Aucklanders first.
