Māori businesses consultancy HTK Group is offering a subsidised programme for Māori small businesses in Tāmaki Makaurau affected by COVID-19.
TU Whakatipu lead Peter Burgess says it’s a mix of advisory, mentoring, business development and workforce development support aimed at firms about to either reduce or grow staff.
He says the first cohort, which included businesses from Hawke’s Bay, Kāpiti Coast and Canterbury regions, lead to the creation of 63 jobs and 71 jobs saved.
