Maori business tohu for Tangaroa Walker’s farming tales

A business that delivers online education for the dairy industry has won the premier award at the 2021 Te Kupeka Umaka Māori ki Araiteuru Māori Business Awards, which celebrate Maori business success in Otago and Southland.
Judge Karen Roos says Tangaroa Walker’s Farm 4 Life edutainment channel has put Southland farming in the spotlight and made a significant impact on his community and on support for young people in particular.
She says his life story, his dedication to being on the land, and his manaaki towards others combined with his personality and joy in being in front of the camera has made the service a winner.
