Davidson bringing strong Green voice to Waatea debate

The Greens’ James Shaw is pleased at the strong race his co-leader Marama Davidson is running in Tāmaki Makaurau.
A Curia-Māori Television poll last week found Ms Davidson polling 14 percent for the electorate vote, double what the Greens could expect in the party vote.
She’ll be at Ngā Whare Waatea Marae this evening, putting her best foot forward alongside rival candidates Peeni Henare and John Tamihere.
"She’s doing very well and the message she is putting out is resonating strongly and she is obviously our top performing candidate in the Māori seats. I'm proud to have her as my co-leader because she brings a maturity and stability to that role," Mr Shaw says
The debate starts at 7pm at Ngā Whare Waatea in Calthorp Close, Māngere.
