Kapa spectators in self-isolation
Rotorua Lakes mayor Steve Chadwick is one of tens of thousands of New Zealanders now working remotely because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
She went into voluntary isolation after returning from Australia, where she attended the Whenua Moemoeā kapa haka regional final in Canberra along with Māori Development Minister Nanaia Mahuta and Australian High Commissioner Annette King.
Minister Mahuta is also in self-isolation.
Mayor Chadwick says she had no way of knowing if she had contact with anyone carrying the virus, but she wanted to be on the safe side.
