Trans Tasman indigenous business links sought

Māori Development Minister Nanaia Mahuta is keen for an indigenous cooperation arrangement covering Māori and Australian Aboriginal businesses.
Ms Mahuta met this week with Ken Wyatt, Australia’s new Minister for Indigenous Australians and the first indigenous Australian to hold that portfolio.
She says indigenous business cooperation is a key and emerging area for both countries under the Single Economic Market agenda, which aims to extend the Closer Economic Relationship between New Zealand and Australia.
She will also formally invite Australia to join an indigenous business mission to South East Asia next year.
