The first funeral for victims of Friday's Christchurch terror attack were held this afternoon at Memorial Park Cemetery in Linwood.
Khaled Mustafa, who arrived from Syria a few months ago with his family, and his 14-year old son Hamza were killed at the Masjid Al Noor in Deans Ave.
An area at the cemetery was set up for mourners to wash their hands ahead of the service.
About 200 people were present for the funeral, which is the only one planned for today.
Police are continuing to release bodies to families once identification and coronial processes are completed.
