Ahuriri settlement put to work

Napier post settlement entity Mana Ahuriri Trust has unveiled plans to turn a former gravel pit into a large format retail strip.

Project manager Warren Ladbrook from joint venture partner Advance Properties Group says the $20 million Munroe St development will allow anchor tenants Briscoes and Rebel Sport to have a presence closer to the town centre.

It will also give the trust a chance to learn as it puts in place its vision to become one of Hawke’s Bay’s largest commercial property and asset owners.

The joint venture also has a $40 to $60 million industrial zone development planned, and it has substantial forestry assets which will have its own business cycle.
