Not for profit organisations with a national focus are being invited to apply for grants from the Hapori Whakatipu Community Leadership Fund.
Community and Voluntary Sector Minister Peeni Henare says the $500,000 fund is help organisations provide leadership and capability building in their sectors.
Groups funded last year included the Volunteer Army Foundation, which helped more than 600 primary schools to engage in volunteer projects in their communities, and Te Whare Hukahuka, which is trying to improve the capacity of Maori trusts and social enterprises through governance training, networking, and other support.
Applications close on July 11.
