Maori Party acknowledges Ohariu’s Dunne

Maori Party co-leaders Te Ururoa Flavell and Marama Fox have paid tribute to Ohariu MP Peter Dunne.
The United Future leader announced he would retire from politics at the elections after polls showed he would lose to Labour's Greg O'Connor, a former Police Association president.
Ms Fox says Mr Dunne voted against the Foreshore and Seabed Act and worked hard in the subsequent years to find a resolution to the issue.
Mr Flavell says he has enjoyed sitting next to Mr Dunn in the House of Representatives and to share in his knowledge about a whole range of issues that affect the country.
