Peters criticism part of political life.

The fall out of Winston Peters criticism is coming in thick and fast from Maori around the motu but there is some aroha from Maori Party co leader Marama Fox.
She says the bantering is all part of political life and she has copped flak from Winston Peters both in the House and at different hui.
Marama Fox says her Party has a mana enhancing policy but they do have the right to defend themselves if under attack
In spite of Winston Peter's attacks on her and co-leader Te Ururoa Flavell she harbour's no hard feelings towards the NZ First leader.
"Oh nah we're quite good mates but this is a political scene. He likes to throw some shade around and when I meet him in the corridors of parliament we always have a bit of a laugh and a bit of a joke about it. One time he commented to me, oh well someone's got to bring some life to this place and I don't take offense at any of the comments that Winston throws my way. I'm pretty good at throwing it back. We have to be mana enhancing but when we are being attacked there is a rule that we are allowed to defend our space" she says.
