The Green Party is calling for a warrent of fitness on rental properties.
Green Party Health spokesperson Julie Anne Genter says kids visited the hospital 42,000 times last year with what she says is preventable dieases.
Julie Anne Genter says 300,000 homes were insulated but it doesn't go far enough.
She says what's required is a more robust action plan to tackle the poor state of housing.
