Maori Party pleased with e-cig win

The Maori Party has welcomed the Government's decision to allow the sale of nicotine e-cigarettes and e-liquid.
Co-leader Marama Fox the party had called for the Government to look beyond traditional quit smoking tools and methods, which aren’t working as well as they should.
She says it will continue to push for not only a subsidy of e-cigarettes but that they be made part of the cessation programmes.
The Maori Party launched its Tobacco out of Aotearoa campaign in 2007 in response to the high numbers of Maori people and New Zealanders who die from smoking-related diseases.
