Mana ready to contest elections

Mana comes out of its annual conference this weekend with hope a deal can be stitched together to give leader Hone Harawira a better chance of wining back Te Taitokerau.
Its president Lisa McNabb says she has talked with new Maori party president Tukoroirangi Morgan on ways to work together.
She says while the party currently plans to contest all seven Maori seats, it is willing to consider strategic arrangements with the Maori Party to bring all Maori seats back into Maori hands.
That’s code for standing aside so the candidate with the best chance of upsetting Labour can have a clear run.
