Ex-Mai head joins RNZ board.


Former Mai FM head Graham Pryor has been appointed to the board of Radio New Zealand.
The Auckland-based media and business consultant is from Ngati Awa and Ngati Rangitihi.
He's professional director with a background in accountancy who has been involved in Maori development sinnce the late 1980s.
For 14 years he led Mai Media, which ran a network of commercial radio stations and provided news and programmes to iwi radio.
He currently serves on the Board of Te Kakano Whakatipu, the company the oversees the iwi forestry investment in Kaingaroa Timberlands.
Broadcasting Minister Amy Adams says“Mr Pryor’s extensive governance experience and his Maori perspective will be of great value to the RNZ Board.
He replaces Tiwana Tibble.
