Te Wharekura o Hoani Waititi Marae is back at the top of Auckland schools' kapa haka, winning this year's Polyfest Maori stage.
Along the way it took six of the seven aggregate sections.
Nga Puna o Waiorea from Western Springs College, which took the trophy the previous four years, had to settle for second, followed by Auckland Girls' Grammar’s Kahurangi ki Maungawhau.
However, for the fourth straight year Western Springs' second team, Nga Oho o Waiorea, won its division, followed by James Cook High School and Tuakau College.
