Forbes to front TV3 Maori current affairs
Mihingarangi Forbes is returning to TV3 to front a new show that is being pitched as a bold voice in Maori current affairs.
Thirty episodes of the half hour Sunday morning show, with a working title Minority Reports, will be paid for by Te Mangai Paho and $400,000 from New Zealand On Air’s Platinum Fund for specialist current affairs programmes.
Minority Reports will be made by Great Southern Television.
Ms Forbes left TV3 to present Maori Television’s award winning Native Affairs programme.
She quit earlier this year and was quickly hired as Radio New Zealand’s Maori correspondent.
TV3 recently pulled the plug on its Platinum funded 3D programme.
It is also getting $900,000 towards the costs of the 2016 season of its political programme The Nation.
