Waipareira turns profit in momentous year
West Auckland social services trust Te Whanau o Waipareira has reported an operating surplus for the year of $1.27 million, up from $469,000 last year.
Chair Ray Hall says the organisation is in a great financial position, and is still debt free despite establishing Whanau Ora commissioning agency Te Pou Matakana, funding a Whanau Ora conference and buying a property at Armour Bay near Huia.
the Waipareira books were in a very healthy state, and Waipareira remains debt free.
Milestones for the year included the launch of Wai-Research unit, Establishment of Social Value Aotearoa as part of the Social Value International network, and new partnerships with the Alliance Health Network, Accident Compensation, and Callaghan Innovation.
There were also board to board meetings with Waitemata District Health Board.
The meeting will be held at Hoani Waititi Marae starting 6 pm
