Action needed to fight Maori asthma

Asthma researchers are calling on the Government to make fighting the illness which strikes a disproportionate number of Maori children a national priority.
Bernadette Jones from Otago University who led a nationwide study says parents are just not getting the right information about asthma in the right way
She says urgent action is needed to stop tamariki ending up in hospital and dying through lack of information.
Bernadette Jones says health professionals also need to look at themselves and start telling people about asthma in ways they can understand..
