Rakautauri picked as Raggamuffin charity

The Raukatauri Music Therapy Trust will get a boost from next year’s Raggamuffin reggae and urban music festival.
It will receive one percent of ticket sale returns as well as get additional profile and fundraising opportunities available during the event.
Raggamuffin and Dawn Raid Music co founder Brotha D says the Raukatauri trust, which provides music therapy to children and young people with special needs, stood out for the impact it has and the way it continues to run despite receiving no government funding.
He says more than $40,000 was raised for the official charity for the previous two festivals, Y for Youth.
Raggamuffin Nine will be held on February 20 next years at the Trusts Arena in Auckland, with the first tickets going on sale to the Raggamuffin and Ticketmaster databases next Monday and to the general public on August 10.
