Vote wisely urges Labour stalwart
A leading member of Labour’s Northland campaign team says the message is getting out that the seat needs to change hands.
There is keen interest in Saturday’s by-election to replace former National MP Mike Sabin, with more than 10 percent of electors voting early.
Rudy Taylor says Labour’s candidate Willow Jean Prime is doing a great job of reminding people of how little National has done for what was considered one of its safest electorates.
He says voters are smart enough to realise the race is between New Zealand First leader Winston Peters and National’s Mark Osborne.
"Well I’m saying vote wisely and look at the issues and Winston's out there in the polls so we really have to make sure we get a change from National up here," Mr Taylor says.
