Labour exploring changing job front

Labour Maori development spokesperson Nanaia Mahuta says the party’s new Future of Work Commission will take a close look at the Maori economy.
New leader Andrew Little announced the commission to a business audience yesterday, saying the nature of work has changes and the workers’ party needs to understand that change.
Ms Mahuta says the commission will engage with Maori businesses, trusts, Iwi organisations and small businesses to identify opportunities to boost regional development.
She says in the post-settlement environment, Maori are looking towards high-value investment in the export market and long-term investment opportunities in our domestic economy.
