Erotic stage for haka
In a few hours Picadilly Circus in London will be ringing to the sound of haka, but it’s not Maori or New Zealand that’s being promoted.
It’s a British haka for business to mark the start of the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2014.
Lawyer Karl Burrows of Manaia/ Hakaworks has trained up 30 British entrepreneurs and businessmen for the 7am event on the steps under the Statue of Eros.
Organiser Richard Hillgrove, a successful public relations consultant with Maori and Danish whakapapa, says the haka is about overcoming fear and rising to challenges, which are traits needed to be a successful global entrepreneur.
