Iti part of political cycle

Tame Iti started his political career pitching a tent in parliament grounds, but now he's heading in the opposite direction.
The Maori Party list candidate got on his bike in Ruatoki this morning and set off for Tamaki Makaurau.
He says the three-day Tame Tu! Tame Ora! cycle relay is to support fellow Maori Party candidates Te Ururoa, Susan Cullen and Rangi McLean.
Mr Iti says he hopes the 280 kilometre bike ride motivates people to think about policies, get on the roll and vote.
The Maori Party is a party on the move. They’ve shown an independent Maori Party can make a difference in Parliament by being true to the kaupapa.
The cyclists will stop in Rotorua, Tirau, Cambridge, Hamilton, Ngaruawahia, Pukekohe and Papakura before arriving at Manurewa Marae on Saturday afternoon.
People are welcome to join as long as they fit enough and capable of riding on the open road.
