Greens co-leader Metiria Turei has slammed a decision to create super-schools in Christchurch.
Education Minister Hekia Parata yesterday announced that three New Brighton primary schools will become one, and the Aranui, Avondale and Wainoni primary schools will move onto the Aranui High campus to provide year one to 13 schooling.
Ms Turei says it’s an example of the Government using the Christchurch earthquake to impose unwanted solutions on a poor area with a high Maori population.
