The collapse of a south Taranaki medical venture has proved a boon for Ngāti Ruanui.
Chief Executive Debbie Ngarewa-Packer says the iwi is moving its health, social and education services into the $1.8 million Hawera building created for SouthCare, which failed after a dispute between management and doctors.
She says Ngāti Ruanui wants to become a leading service in the region, and the restructure would help it develop a holistic approach.
