Maui – One man against the Gods
Dancer and choreographer Tanemahuta Gray is hoping last minute voting will win him $10,000 towards taking his aerial stage show Maui – One man against the Gods to Hawaii next year.
Gray has already got more than 1000 votes in this year's AMP Scholarship Public Vote competition, which closes on Sunday.
He says it will cost him up to $350,000 to tour the production, which uses ballet, aerial theatre, traditional music and kapa haka to tell the legend of Maui.
Gray probably won’t have much time to keep up with the voting – he is also guest choreographer for this weekend’s World of WearableArt show in Wellington.
