Manukau Urban Māori Authority and Auckland City Mission are today formalising an agreement to make Ngā Whare Waatea the hub for the food parcel distribution in South Auckland.
MUMA chief executive Tania Rangiheuea says it’s something the marae did during the pandemic, and it’s well positioned to resume the role.
She says hāpori are at the heart of the kaupapa.
