Whanau Tahi up for global Microsoft prize
Whanau Tahi’s prospects of becoming a globally-recognised software brand have been boosted by making the finals of Microsoft’s annual partner awards.
The Waipareira subsidiary has built a tool for managing all interactions with its clients on top of the software giant’s customer relationship management platform.
Chief executive Steven Keung says it’s getting interest from providers in the United States including Native American and urban groups who are looking at shifting to the whanau ora model of holistic service delivery.
There were more than 2500 entrants from 119 countries competing for the awards, so making the finals is a testament to Whanau Tahi’s vision and execution.
"I think what sets us apart from everybody else is a deep domain knowledge or knowledge of the sector. What makes technology tick, you might have something in your hands, but unless you understand what's behind people's thoughts and how they might react to it, that's the key to having effective technology," Mr Keung says,
The winners will be announced at Microsoft’s Global World Conference in Toronto in July.
