Street pressure helps search for boy basher
A Flaxmere community leader believes community pressure will eventually out those who put a 4-year-old boy in Starship Hospital with bruises all over his body and severe brain damage.
Henare O'Keefe says the family recently moved into the Ramsey St area.
He says there is a lot of anger being shown on social media, but people should let the police do their jobs.
"I'm confident the police will eventually flush them out and what's helping to do that is community pressure, pressure from within that street, pressure from their friends, relatives, putting it out there in public like we are doing now, so I am confident they will eventually come to the surface," Mr O'Keefe says.
Henare O'Keefe says for such a heinous crime, those who may have been in the vicinity of the crime should lose their right to silence.
