Budget set for May 14
Lifting Māori and Pacific incomes, skills, and opportunities will be a priority for this year’s budget, which will be delivered on May 14.
Finance Minister Grant Robertson says the Budget will continue the Coalition Government’s focus on tackling the long-term challenges facing New Zealand while also preparing the economy for the future.
Other priorities include supporting New Zealanders in the transition to a climate-resilient and low-emissions economy; reducing child poverty and improving child wellbeing; mental and physical health; and addressing the future of work.
