Kaitiakitanga puts Miraka in economic change vanguard

The certification is issued by B Lab, a non-profit global organisation set-up in 2006 to drive economic systems change by creating standards, policies and programmes that shift the culture and structure of capitalism.
Miraka chair Bruce Scott says it aligns with the company’s values, including its commitment environmental leadership or kaitiakitanga.
The Miraka plant at Mokai north wesof Taupo uses renewable geothermal energy from Tūaropaki Power Company, a subsidiary of Tūaropaki Trust, one of its founding shareholders.
