In December, 5300 photographs of multiple key figures in Maoridom from the Fairfax Corporation’s archives were hand returned to Wellington following their purchase from an American photography gallery in Los Angeles.Atereano spoke to Paul Diamond from Ngāti Hauā, Te Rarawa and Ngāpuhi, the Curator for Māori at the Alexander Turnbull Library in Wellington about his involvement with and the significance of the return of these tāonga.
