But it was a win for te reo Māori, with Sky Sports offering te reo Māori commentary for the 2023 Rugby World Cup on their Sky Sport 2 broadcast.
Sky Sports commentator Glenn Larmer is welcoming the shift to bilingual commentary.
“It’s important to give people the option to choose what sort of commentary they want to watch and hear these days. It’s, it’s just really, a no brainer protects the language every everyone wins. So why wouldn’t you do that? That’s, that’s how I feel on it,” he says.
The All Blacks Face Namibia next Saturday, while the Warriors get a home game at Mount Smart against Newcastle.
