Wakatū touts kiwifruit cures on kiwi trade trip

The only Māori on the Prime Minister’s trade delegation to Singapore and Japan next week will use the opportunity to launch a number of innovative products.
Miriana Stephens is a director of Nelson’s Wakatū Incorporation and executive director of its AuOra health solutions subsidiary.
AuOra has developed kiwifruit-based natural health and wellness products with the Japanese market in mind.
“The green kiwifruit powder is really good if you are constipated if you need help going to the wharepaku. The gold kiwifruit is really good if you just want to maintain a healthy puku,” Ms Stephens says.
Wakatū has built up strong relationships with a number of Japanese family businesses in areas such as horticulture, fishing and forestry by stressing cultural connections and shared values.
