Familiar faces bring whānau to vax bus
There’s hot coffee, manaakitanga – and Covid jabs – outside Kelston Boys High School today, where Waipareira’s Wai Vaximus bus is parked.
Coordinator Rogere Te Whero says boys from the school leafleted the surrounding community last night.
She hopes that’s enough to bring out the unvaccinated.
“It’s in their community and these whānau who are scared to come out are okay to come out into their community, familiar faces to them, that’s why they’re coming out I believe,” she says.
Tomorrow the bus will be loaned out for service in south Auckland, while the Waipareira vax team administers shots at Reweti Marae past Waimauku.
