Call for National to embrace diversity as caucus loses it

The chair of National Party Māori group Kahurangi Blue, Tuwhakairiora Williams, says the party needs to embrace diversity if it wants to reclaim its former glory.
National got just 26.8 percent of the party vote on election night, losing 12 electorate seats and two of its four Māori MPs.
Mr Williams says it needs to look at the changing face of Aotearoa New Zealand.
"It has changed significantly. It is how we reposition ourselves so we align and are relevant to that changing face of Aotearoa New Zealand. So those are some of the things we are really going to have to deliberate over," he says.
