Coffey lead solid in Waiariki

Incumbent Labour MP Tamati Coffey looks to have a comfortable lead in Waiāriki, with a Curia-Māori Television poll of 500 people giving him 38 per cent support compared with 26 per cent for the Māori Party’s Rawiri Waititi.
Vision New Zealand candidate Hannah Tamaki drew just 2 per cent support, and 24 per cent said they were still unsure two weeks out from the election.
Labour is tipped to draw 47 per cent of the party vote compared with 19 per cent for the Māori Party.
