The Aotea Regional Kapa Haka Competition due to be held tomorrow in Hawera has been postponed.
Organisers had proposed to restrict access to the event to the team performing at the time, judges and broadcast crews.
But at a meeting last night they scrapped that plan because of the Covid-19 risk to health, safety and the wellbeing of whānau.
Next week's Te Tai Tokerau regional final and the Tainui competition have also been postponed.
