Broughton to give Māori perspective to NZOA

Dunedin businessman Philip Broughton from Ngāi Tahu and Ngati Kahungunu has been appointed to the NZ on Air board.
Broadcasting Minister Kris Faafoi says he brings considerable governance experience to the Board, including having been a business mentor for Te Puni Kōkiri and facilitator for the Institute of Directors governance programmes.
His Māori perspectives are also a valuable addition to the broadcast funding agency, aligning with NZ On Air’s mandate to reflect and develop Aotearoa’s identity and culture.
Broadcaster turned lawyer Linda Clark was also appointed to the board for a three year term, replacing Animation Research head Ian Taylor.
