Far north kura to close

The troubled Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Rangiawhia in the far north will close its doors for the last time this week.
The school has been run by commissioner Tunney McFadyen since July when its principal and two teachers quit after the election of a new board.
He said then there was a history of poor relationships within the community and with the kura to the extent whanau, board and kaiako relationships were negatively affecting the quality of student learning.
Mana leader Hone Harawira says whanau are devastated.
